International Divinity Program (UIP) is a scholarship program organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs, aimed at training persons who are familiar with local cultures in order to strengthen their capacities in giving religious services, outside mosque social services and other teachings in their home countries. The program started in 2006. Students who have successfully completed their high school studies in regions such as Europe, America and Australia where Turkish citizens live, who have become citizens of the countries in which they live and have a desire to join the program can apply to the program. The courses are conducted in Turkish and there is a one-year preparatory Arabic language class for students who do not have the required level in the language. Other candidates who live abroad and who are not originally from Turkey can apply to the program too. However, students who are enrolled to the program under this category will need to attend a preparatory Turkish language course for a year. Students who complete the program successfully will be awarded a bachelor’s degree in Divinity studies.

The students studying in this program are required to have a Cumulative Grade Points Average (Cum. GPA) of not less than 2.00/4.00 and have completed all the courses with at least a letter grade of C3/2.00 in the program in order to graduate. The minimum number of ECTS credits required for graduation is 240. It is also mandatory for the students to complete their compulsory internship in a specified duration and quality.
